We are excited to be starting a new business! The kids will do most of the work, with a little help from Mom & Dad. Why are we doing this?
We moved here from a community that had curbside recycling. It was really hard when we moved here 7 years ago to start putting all that garbage that we were used to recycling in the trash can. We were really excited when the Green Team started their trailer recycling program, and when we found out there are places around town to recycle other items that can't go in the trailers. We have been collecting our own paper, plastic bottles & bags, and pop cans to recycle since then. But we realize that not everyone knows about these opportunities, and even among those who do, not everyone is utilizing them. And believe us, we know it's a pain to drive all that stuff all over town to dispose of it. So we decided to provide a service to those who want to recycle but don't want to have to do that themselves. And that's when the idea for Riverside Recycling was born! We are hoping it will be a great way for the kids to work hard to earn a little extra money, and help out our great community at the same time.
